It is even better to be finished!

Well I have now finished my final exams, began a new job and moved into a new chapter in my professional career.  I received word that APEGS has accepted my application and thus I am a registered and qualified Electrical Engineer.  The next phase is to work towards registration as a professional engineer.  That will take some time but I am patient and stubborn so I will get there.

My new employeer is Startco Engineering, and it is my job to design and implement digital filters for their product.  So far the job has been a total breath of fresh air.  I am treated with respect and dignity, while being given opportunities to learn and grow in my field.  This is the kind of job I was hoping to land.

In other news Yoshi is now a little more then a year old, and Dana and I have been married for 4 wonderful years.  Now that I have an income we are finally working towards being debt free, and climbing back from my yearlong unemployment.

My younger brother Chris got married a few weeks back and is now starting his new life as a married man. His wedding was a ton of fun, we danced, partied, and visited with relatives.  Events like that always turn out great.

Lastly I ran in my longest run ever during the Saskatchewan Marathon last week.  I was busy (and too lazy) to train very well but I still managed to pull off a time of 2 hours and 6 mins for the half marathon.  For me that was a great achievement!

Look forward to much more positive journal entries on this site in the future, things are looking up.  :)
